Natalie Marquis
General Manager

I have been passionate about the environment since I was a child. My parents took us camping each year, and I remember feeling deeply moved by the majesty of Nature-- its beauty and its resilience. I remember campaigning to save the Baby Harp Seals for Greenpeace when I was nine. It is a life commitment of mine to find ways to live and work that are in harmony with Nature and the environment. I delight in working at Habitat Suites and getting to practice and learn about creating a sustainable future for us all.

Eduardo Longoria
Founder and Managing Partner

Conducting business while taking care of the environment for myself, my friends and colleagues and for the people that have entrusted their well being to Habitat Suites is my passion. I am proud to be able to take care of our guests in ways that they never expected by giving them a toxic free sleep, righteous food, and a staff that wants this as much as I. I don’t know where my love for service to our planet came from but I know that my lasting pleasure is derived from being a steward rather than an owner.

Donald Walls
Front Desk Manager

Habitat Suites has been my place of employment since December of 1990. Over the years it has become much more than a job. The management, co-workers, and our wonderful guests have really made this like home. I feel honored do be part of an organization that is committed to doing the right thing regarding the environment and the well-being of all of us.

Jesus Galaviz
Maintenance Manager

Jesus was born in Durango, Mexico. He came from Mexico to the United States in 1987 to work on a ranch in Idaho where they grew beets, and potatoes, and wheat. His days on the ranch were long-- starting at 5 a.m. and working until 11 p.m. each night, 6 days a week, and "half" a day (8 hours) on Sundays. It was hard work, and the cold weather was a challenge. He came to Austin one Christmas, to visit his two sons, one of whom was working at Habitat, and offered to lend a hand with any work that needed to be done. That was December, 1999. Ever since, he greets the staff each morning with a ready smile and a desire to help. His favorite thing to say is: "Si, puede hacerlo y con GUSTO"... in English: "Yes, I can do it, and it will be my PLEASURE!" Even the butterflies are drawn to his warm and friendly personality.
